If America is a circus, then Florida seems to provide the lion’s share of the entertainment. But let’s not kid ourselves. It’s a full-blown competition among the states right now to see who can out-crazy the rest. Forget gator-wrestling, because today you’ve got Maine desperately digging through its shallow talent pool hoping to find a new resident lunatic. Their search for someone to top Graham Platner is almost impressive — if your idea of impressive is government officials selecting your next neighborhood weirdo like it’s the draft for the NBA.
Meanwhile, Minnesota isn’t even pretending to care about American values anymore. Politicians in the land of 10,000 lakes just go ahead and openly celebrate a foreign country’s independence — Somalia, of all places — while they bend over backward trying to coddle a convicted rapist. Is that really the America anyone remembers? Liberals in Minnesota have tossed the idea of putting their own nation first right out the window. Why? Because nothing says “thank you” to your voters like turning your back on law-abiding citizens, all while singing the praises of criminals and foreign interests.
And then there’s California. Need anyone say more? It remains the gold medalist of lunacy — a place where reality takes a permanent vacation, and left-wing policies are so out of touch, you need a map just to find the Constitution. Every day, Californians seem determined to prove there’s no idea too absurd, no culture too bizarre, and no policy too destructive for them to embrace. That’s what happens when you let radical Democrats run wild without a single adult in the room.
But let’s get real here: none of these liberal playgrounds would dare compete with Florida if they had to deal with the same challenges. The Sunshine State gets mocked across the nation by smug elites, but it’s also where people go to escape the failed experiments of blue-state America. Maybe, just maybe, the problem isn’t Florida’s “craziness” — maybe it’s that Florida dares to stand up to the insanity infecting the rest of the left-wing states.
So while Maine, Minnesota, and California spiral into madness, at least Florida owns it with a wink and a grin. Better to be bold and free than to live under the boot of progressive nonsense. The real question isn’t what’s wrong with Florida — it’s how long until the rest of America wakes up and joins the fight for sanity?
