Once again, Americans are waking up to choking skies and dangerous air quality, courtesy of our neighbors up north and their absolutely out-of-control wildfires. The thick clouds of smoke—what some are calling outright toxic crud—are blanketing American towns and cities, forcing hard-working people to stay indoors and ruining yet another summer weekend. Of course, liberal leaders will be first in line to scold Americans about climate change, all while twiddling their thumbs and letting things get worse.
It’s no secret that the Canadians can’t seem to get a handle on their forest management. But the consequences don’t care about borders. Here in the United States, families are canceling plans, children are stuck inside, and businesses are taking another hit—all because the government in Ottawa can’t keep its own house in order. Yet, all the Democrats can talk about is carbon credits and renewable energy fantasies, instead of demanding real solutions from Canada or protecting American citizens.
The Biden administration rushes to blame “climate change” whenever this happens, as if wildfires have never occurred before. What they refuse to acknowledge is how their eco-warrior friends, both here and abroad, have spent years blocking sensible forest management policies. They’d rather virtue-signal about the environment than actually do their jobs and protect the public from health hazards drifting down from other countries.
And let’s not forget about those ever-present, robot-like air quality alerts buzzing on everyone’s phones. Americans are being told not to leave their homes, as if we’re on lockdown from nature itself. Meanwhile, the left will blame everyday Americans for the air they breathe, pushing more Green New Deal nonsense instead of focusing on practical solutions that would actually clear up the skies.
Why should Americans pay the price for Canada’s incompetence and left-wing green failures? Maybe it’s time someone demanded accountability from the folks spreading this toxic mess—both the ones setting bad policy up north and the so-called leaders here who’d rather lecture us than protect us. Or maybe these liberal elites like it better when Americans can’t even step outside for a breath of fresh air.
