Sudden death of judge sparks outrage after he frees convicted Cuban hijacker into US communities

Another activist judge is making headlines, and not for any good reason. Senior U.S. District Judge John E. Steele, who just died suddenly, left Americans scratching their heads with his last major ruling. Just days before his passing, Judge Steele sent convicted Cuban hijacker Maikel Guerra Morales back into our communities. That’s right—a criminal, an illegal alien, and someone involved in post-9/11 hijacking. Instead of keeping him behind bars or shipping him out as ordered, this judge opened the cell door wide.

Liberals keep telling us to “trust the system.” But how are Americans supposed to trust a system where a judge can overrule common sense and ignore a standing removal order from immigration courts? ICE had Morales in custody as they should, following the law laid down back in 2023. Yet, Judge Steele swooped in and decided America needed another convicted criminal walking the streets. If this isn’t liberal incompetence, what is?

Americans are fed up with judges putting foreigners—who have no right to be here—above law-abiding citizens. Time and again, the left bends over backward for illegal aliens. Why? Who benefits when a convicted hijacker is released onto our streets? It sure isn’t the hardworking men and women who play by the rules. Every time an activist judge sides with a foreign criminal, it’s another slap in the face to American families.

What’s more troubling is how easily globalist interests seem to win in courtrooms run by these activist judges. They talk about justice, but it’s always criminals who seem to get the break, not the victims or citizens. The law should protect Americans first—yet these liberal judges seem to have different priorities. Americans should be asking how many more times we’ll watch unelected judges rewrite the rules and risk our safety.

This whole saga raises a bigger, darker question: how many activist judges will America let undo our laws for the sake of open borders and radical ideology? If our courts caring more about the rights of foreign criminals than our own people doesn’t wake us up, what will?
