America is choking—literally—on Canadian incompetence. Right now, huge clouds of smoke from wildfires north of the border are blanketing our skies and threatening the health of millions. It’s not just a nuisance. It’s downright dangerous for the elderly, for children, and for anyone who has the bad luck of already fighting off a respiratory illness. Where is the accountability? Where is the outrage?
But of course, liberals and globalists would rather play nice with Canada than demand real answers. These are the same people who lecture hard-working Americans about “climate” and “carbon footprints” while letting smoke roll in from across the border unchecked. The eastern United States is under a toxic haze, but you won’t see climate activists gluing themselves to Parliament steps in Ottawa. They’re too busy virtue-signaling—masking up, posting hashtags, and ignoring the real problem: foreign incompetence that endangers American lives.
President Trump sees what’s happening. He knows there’s an incalculable cost when Canadians can’t get their act together and control these wildfires. You would think with all the hand-wringing over “dangers to public health,” the media would be screaming about this disaster. But because the smoke is coming from our polite neighbors up north, the liberal elites look the other way. If a Republican was in charge of this kind of mess, can you imagine the outrage? The double standards are obvious to anyone paying attention.
Meanwhile, Americans are coughing, missing work, and watching their skies turn gray. Families are stuck indoors, seniors can’t safely breathe, and the smell in the air isn’t even something pleasant like maple syrup. No, it’s a nasty, stinging smoke. The supposedly enlightened leaders in Canada have failed at the most basic government task: protecting people from disaster. Yet the radical left is more worried about pronouns and plastic straws than the air their own voters are forced to breathe.
Enough is enough. American lives and livelihoods are at stake, but the Biden crowd and their globalist allies act like it’s just another weather event to ignore. Why are we footing the bill for another country’s mistakes? Maybe it’s time the so-called “leaders” in Washington stop bowing to Canada and start putting Americans first. Or will liberals let more smoke—and more excuses—drift across our borders while Americans continue to suffer?
