Beijing wanted to funnel fat paychecks to U.S. reporters in exchange for hit pieces against the sitting president. What did the mainstream media do about it? Not a thing—unless quietly playing along counts as journalism nowadays.
Anyone with half a brain could have seen this coming. For years, the liberal press has bent over backwards to please foreign interests, especially China.
