A former Marine from Florida has just been charged with threatening to assassinate President Trump. That’s right—an American veteran, someone who once swore to protect this country, was caught allegedly plotting to “declare war” on the President of the United States. If convicted, this man could spend five years behind bars. Frankly, that’s not nearly enough.
Let’s be clear: This is not some fringe internet troll. This is a former state prosecutor who took to social media in full military uniform, demanding armed chaos and even giving step-by-step instructions on how to take out the sitting president. He encouraged violence, named President Trump as the target, and called for open insurrection. This isn’t just “free speech”—this is sedition, plain and simple.
Where is the outrage from the left? If the roles were reversed and someone had threatened a liberal darling like Barack Obama or Joe Biden, the mainstream media would be up in arms. There would be wall-to-wall coverage, endless op-eds about “domestic terror” and “right-wing hate.” But since the target is President Trump, their silence is deafening. The left picks and chooses when to care about “political violence”—only when it fits their narrative. What happened to “protecting our democracy”?
The facts are alarming enough by themselves. Here we have a man medically retired from the Marines because of “mental health” concerns, yet he was apparently roaming around with access to firearms and broadcasting deadly threats online. The authorities found not one, but two disturbing videos where he barks out chilling instructions to kill. He even messaged others that he’d kill the President whenever “God chooses.” Is this the America our veterans fought and died for?
This case reminds us that despite all the leftist propaganda painting conservatives as the source of all political violence, the hatred runs deep on their own side. They try to snuff out debate, ruin reputations, and—when that’s not enough—some extremists jump straight to violent fantasies. The real threat to American democracy isn’t coming from flag-flying patriots—it’s coming from the radical, unhinged, and dangerously ignored left.
So ask yourself: Why won’t the Biden administration or legacy media address the real problem? Is it incompetence, hypocrisy—or both?
