Democrats Once Again Fooled by Their Own Media Creation
Here we go again. Democrats, desperately chasing a Senate seat in Maine, managed to pick a train wreck named Graham Platner—a nobody handed the keys to Washington by party elites who didn’t bother to check what was rattling in his closet. Apparently, the Democratic Socialists of America thought grabbing a fresh face was more important than basic vetting. Instead, they scooped up a man with just enough charisma to get liberal handlers swooning all the way to cable news. Turns out, all it takes to win over the Left these days is a toothy smile and empty promises about being “for the people.”
Platner’s story isn’t new. Liberals love to manufacture folksy heroes. Sound familiar? It’s right out of Hollywood—a regular guy gets plucked from obscurity, is dressed up for the cameras, and suddenly he’s the savior everyone was waiting for. Except, behind every smooth-talking outsider, there’s almost always a ticking time bomb the radical Left refuses to see. They’re so obsessed with image, so desperate for a narrative, they ignore the basics—character, integrity, and decency. Instead, they sell their followers on a myth, and pray no one pulls back the curtain before Election Day.
This is why the so-called “Party of the People” is really just the party of cover-ups and double standards. When dirty truths about Platner started surfacing, did Democrat puppetmasters speak out? Not a chance. Even while scandal after scandal bubbled up—everything from offensive tattoos to shocking allegations of abuse—the Left kept marching in lockstep. They didn’t care about credibility, just winning at any cost. Only after his poll numbers nosedived did party insiders start to grumble about “concerns.” The hypocrisy is staggering. They whine about “protecting democracy” but will rally behind anyone, no matter how troubling, as long as he can beat a Republican.
And for what? To replace him with another so-called “regular guy,” a logger with no real ideas except repeating working-class slogans. Democrats think showing up in flannel and bragging about blue-collar roots can distract voters from their parade of failures and empty promises. It’s insulting. Maine deserves real leaders, not manufactured personalities with handlers pulling the strings.
Time and time again, liberals prove they’ll sacrifice principle for power. If this is the best the Democratic machine can come up with, maybe the real question isn’t who will win in Maine, but how many times Americans will let their intelligence be insulted before they send these puppeteers packing. Is anyone else tired of being treated like sheep?
