America’s history is under attack, folks—and the insult is we’re the ones footing the bill. While average Americans are busy working, raising families, and paying sky-high taxes, so-called “experts” entrusted with our country’s story are hard at work tearing it down from the inside. The Smithsonian—the nation’s crown jewel of museums—has been hijacked by radical activists who see their job as poisoning the well and recasting patriotism as something to be ashamed of. Thanks to a maze of bureaucratic rules, not even the President can quickly put a stop to this madness.
At the center of this outrage sits the National Museum of American History, now run by Anthea Hartig. Instead of honoring the heroes and ideas that built this country, Hartig is determined to turn our entire historical narrative on its head. For her, history is just another tool for progressive crusades. She boasts about using the museum for “social justice,” and wants Americans to feel conflicted or even guilty about loving their country. Her mission isn’t to teach actual history—it’s to stir up resentment, division, and suspicion about every founding principle.
Under this new regime, America’s greatest moments are erased or slandered, while our Founders are shoved out of sight. Our symbols, once uniting the nation, are painted with the brush of hatred and shame. The museum no longer showcases American achievement and freedom. Instead, it’s a parade of complaints about racism, sexism, and supposedly unforgivable sins of the past. The goal is clear: trap Americans in a story not of inspiration or progress, but of constant regret and guilt.
It doesn’t stop at vague ideas. The Smithsonian pushes “toolkits” that attack everything from the value of hard work to the importance of the nuclear family. Supposedly, believing success comes from effort or speaking standard English is all part of some made-up “white culture” problem. Meanwhile, the museum spends time and money inventing new ways to smear legends like Ben Franklin—hinting about supposed abuses without a shred of real evidence. When pressed by honest questions in Congress, the museum brass can only muster smug indifference.
Here’s the worst part: thanks to the tangled web of Smithsonian oversight, actual Americans have little say. The board that’s supposed to protect our heritage is asleep at the wheel, letting bureaucrats and left-wing ideologues run wild. Congress can cut funding or appoint people who care about truth, but will they finally take a stand? Or will they keep letting activists soil America’s legacy while taxpayers pick up the tab?
It’s time to stop pretending these attacks on history are harmless or accidental. They’re calculated, coordinated, and they’re happening right in the heart of Washington, D.C. How much longer will we let our own money be used to tear down the country we love?
