For years, Americans were told to trust the so-called experts—especially one government doctor who seemed to have more power than the President himself. He showered us with endless rules: close your churches, shut your businesses, hide your faces, lock away your children. All for our safety, he claimed. Those who dared to ask questions—true scientists and ordinary citizens alike—were smeared, silenced, or outright destroyed by a corrupt media and an army of cowardly bureaucrats.
It turns out, the ones who stood against the hysteria had it right from the start. Brave doctors and researchers tried to warn us: lockdowns weren’t saving lives—they were destroying them. COVID wasn’t the doomsday virus politicians loved to fearmonger over. And no, children were never the super-spreaders the teachers’ unions screamed about. Even as European countries opened their schools and protected the elderly, America stuck to failed policies that hurt working families and killed the American spirit. All while those in power cheered on riots and mass protests when it fit their political agenda.
Behind all this chaos was a government obsessed with control. Instead of following tried-and-true science, the response was guided by fear and modeled after authoritarian regimes. When voices pushed for smart, targeted protection—shielding the vulnerable while letting healthy people live—those voices were not debated, they were crushed. The top medical brass, hand-in-hand with their globalist pals, plotted hit pieces against reputable scientists. Social media cracked down. Dissent became a crime. The “free” press obediently parroted every talking point.
The damage was catastrophic. States like Florida—lamed by the left—actually fared better than blue strongholds like California, with fewer excess deaths, and none of the soul-crushing economic collapse. Sweden, too, stayed open and safe, leaving locked-down Germany in the dust. But no one in the ruling class cared to see the truth. They were too busy working on new pandemic fantasies, feeding egos, grabbing power, and crushing anyone who dared interrupt their show.
Now, as the dust settles, it’s clear which side was on the right side of history—and which side reeked of incompetence and tyranny. The price for all this? Unspeakable death, ruined lives, and a fear still used to justify bigger government. If there’s any justice left, maybe it’s time the architects of these disastrous policies face the consequences. Is it too much to ask that those who locked down a nation finally taste a lockdown of their own?
