Why Are Americans Still Paying for Indonesia’s Disasters While Our Own Country Falls Apart

Another deadly disaster has struck Indonesia—a 7.7 magnitude earthquake has claimed at least 47 lives, with countless more hurt and homeless. Once again, scenes of chaos, suffering, and failed preparation sweep across the world. But who’s paying attention? Global elites and their liberal media friends only focus on tragedies when it fits their narrative or advances their own interests.

For years, mainstream “experts” have insisted that taxpayers in the West have a never-ending responsibility to step in every time disaster hits another corner of the globe. They love to blame climate change or “global inequality,” all while ignoring the real failures—lazy bureaucrats, corrupt officials, and cozy deals with the United Nations that never deliver the security people actually need.

Let’s talk about leadership. Indonesia’s so-called leaders want to paint themselves as victims, then turn around and demand handouts from America. Yet, year after year, seismic authorities warn about quake risks in regions like East Nusa Tenggara, and what do we see? Crumbling infrastructure, no real disaster plan, and a public left to pick up the pieces. Meanwhile, American workers and families get squeezed for more foreign aid checks—while potholes and crime pile up right here at home.

Here’s the ugly truth: our hard-earned dollars get thrown into what amounts to a bottomless pit of endless global “relief funds,” and there’s never any accountability. Instead of demanding real reform in these countries, liberals just keep pouring out cash, hoping to look “compassionate” for their next photo op. That isn’t generosity—it’s a waste of time and money, and it never helps the victims in the long run.

America needs to stand strong and put its own people first. Instead of buying into guilt and globalist nonsense, we should demand real results, real reform, and a government that protects its own citizens before playing world police. Or should we just keep footing the bill for failed leaders and their never-ending disasters?
