California’s Democratic elite never miss a chance to show which side they’re really on — and it’s not the side of the average American. Just look at Governor Gavin Newsom. The man isn’t even out the door yet, but he’s working overtime to bail out big utility companies and utterly abandon the wildfire victims who’ve lost everything. The priorities couldn’t be clearer: mega-corporations get a fat lifeline, and everyday Californians get left in the ashes.
It’s always the same pattern with liberal leadership in blue states. Instead of holding utilities accountable for years of dangerous neglect, they open up the taxpayer wallet to let these companies off the hook. Fire survivors, many of whom already watched their homes and communities go up in smoke, are told to just wait in line. Meanwhile, utility CEOs relax, knowing their Democrat friends will cover their backs. It’s good to be a crony in California.
How many times do we have to see this movie before people wake up? Newsom and his friends love to talk about “equity,” “climate,” and “fairness,” but when Californians are burned out of their homes, those words are empty. The truth is simple: when big donors call, they get what they want. But when a hardworking family asks for help, the state slams the door in their face.
These kinds of backroom bailouts are a special talent for California’s ruling class. Instead of stopping the endless wildfires or fixing rotten infrastructure, Newsom is too busy keeping the globalist money men happy. Where’s the “justice” in protecting profits while real people are suffering? It’s blatant liberal hypocrisy—deny responsibility, hand out the cash, and run for higher office on the backs of victims.
Newsom’s swan song is a shameful reminder: under leftist rule, regular Americans always come last. If the governor really cared about wildfire survivors, he’d put them first instead of bailing out his friends in Big Utility. Since he won’t, it’s just more proof the Democratic Party’s “compassion” is nothing but smoke and mirrors. How much more of this do Californians have to take before they vote these clowns out?
