It’s hard to believe, but here we are—American troops are still being put at risk because their fitness apps are exposing their locations in the Middle East. Yes, you read that right. Eight years after a clear warning from the Pentagon, our brave men and women in uniform are having their movements tracked by anyone with internet access, all because of some workout tracking app.
This is a failure of basic common sense and national security. While the left obsesses over pronouns and rainbow flags, real threats to our military are ignored. Liberals seem more concerned with virtue signaling than actual safety. They’d rather regulate speech on college campuses than address how our troops are being put in harm’s way by the kind of digital carelessness you’d expect from teenagers—not the Pentagon.
Let’s call this what it is: incompetence at the highest level. When tech companies get cozy with globalist interests, and the government cares more about optics than outcomes, this is what happens. Foreign bad actors can track U.S. military routines, simply because no one bothered to clamp down on a fitness app. Forget espionage—America’s enemies can just swipe left and see where elite soldiers are jogging.
And where is the accountability? If any conservative was caught leaking secret troop movements, the media would foam at the mouth. But because this is a liberal-friendly tech issue, it’s swept under the rug. Silicon Valley collects our data for profit and safety takes a back seat. Troops serve overseas under dangerous conditions, but the very people in D.C. tasked to protect them are more worried about getting re-elected than fixing this embarrassment.
Maybe the left is too busy helping illegal immigrants find new homes to care about the security of American soldiers. Maybe they’d notice if one of their favorite celebrities posted a workout. Either way, Americans deserve better from their government and their tech giants. Are we really going to let our troops’ safety be tossed aside—just so some influencer gets likes on a workout post?
