When they ditched their castles and palaces to move across the pond, they played it up as some kind of tribute to “common folks.” Please. The former King of England and his twice-divorced American bride shacked up in New York, rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous, sipping cocktails, and hiding behind a thin veil of humility. Everyday people? Not even close.
Let’s get real: the so-called “Duke and Duchess of Windsor” were globalists before anyone had a name for it. Banished from Britain, they waltzed into America’s high society, still clinging to titles and privileges, still basking in wealth. They didn’t blend in—they stood out, acting like celebrities, not citizens. The media fawned over them while real American values—hard work, faith, patriotism—were nowhere to be found in their lavish lifestyles.
Liberals want us to believe these foreign royals somehow understood average Americans. Give me a break. The left loves to champion outsiders and elevate elites, but when it comes time for these global jet-setters to actually live like the rest of us, it’s all a show. They spent their time at exclusive parties, surrounded by socialites, never missing a chance to show off their privilege. If this is what “everyday” looks like, I’ll stick to the real working people who build and sustain this country.
America was founded on the rejection of royalty and inherited power. But the Hollywood crowd, tech billionaires, and their pals in the mainstream media drool over anyone with a crown, even if they have to cross the Atlantic to find one. Why? Because the left worships status and sneers at the true grit of regular Americans who don’t have time for this royal nonsense.
