One Alaskan family went twenty years without a fresh coat of paint, not because they’re lazy, but because hard work means more than empty talk. Liberals might call that “neglect,” but anyone who’s lived in the real world knows paint does more than make things look pretty—it protects you from the real forces of nature, not just imaginary ones conjured up in D.C. think tanks.
This family wasn’t waiting around for a government handout. When the paint on their house started peeling, they rolled up their sleeves. Did they whine for some federal “home improvement” grant? They’ll spend trillions “fighting climate change,” but won’t lift a finger to teach actual home upkeep. No, they’d rather keep Americans dependent on bureaucrats and foreign supply chains. This is a story about self-reliance, something the left wants us to forget. The media would rather air slick ads for solar panels and tell you to “trust the science,” while American homes—some over a hundred years old—are standing strong because someone took the time to scrape and paint by hand. Forget about government intervention. The only thing those suits in Washington ever painted is a false picture of how America really works.
Real Americans know: you want your house to last, you get out there and protect it yourself—rain or shine, frost or bear season. Let the elites keep chasing their utopias. As for the rest of us?
