Democrats just don’t get it. Over the weekend, Representative Ro Khanna took another wild swing at success by demanding a wealth tax. Apparently, if you work hard, build a business, and achieve the American dream, liberals think your reward should be government punishment.
But billionaire Mark Cuban wasn’t having any of it. For once, even a famous entrepreneur—no conservative by any stretch—had to step in and show Khanna why his math doesn’t add up. Cuban destroyed every flimsy argument and laid bare the ugly truth behind the left’s obsession with wealth taxes. When even billionaires say your tax plan is insane, you know you’ve really lost the plot.
While Khanna prattled on about “fairness,” what he really wants is more control. It’s the same tired socialist game, these folks never learn from history. Tax the rich, and guess what happens? Businesses shrink, jobs disappear, and investment dries up. Middle-class families pay the price, while D.C. elites just get fatter off the spoils.
Liberals drool over the idea of raiding private bank accounts as if it’ll fix all of our nation’s problems. It’s never about “fairness”; it’s about power. A wealth tax isn’t American—it’s the favorite trick of globalists and big-government types who’d rather steal than compete. And if Democrats like Khanna had their way, innovation would die and the American spirit would be smothered by bureaucracy and red tape.
Mark Cuban’s smackdown couldn’t come at a better time. The left is getting desperate. Their reckless policies have wrecked the economy, so now they hunt for new cash cows to squeeze. But Americans are waking up. The question is simple: when will liberals stop punishing success and start embracing freedom again?
