Something is deeply wrong in America’s elite liberal suburbs. The jaw-dropping details from the Lindsay Clancy trial prove it. A Massachusetts mother didn’t just snap overnight—she told people weeks in advance that she was thinking of hurting her own kids. And all the fancy experts, therapists, and “progressive” safety nets supposedly surrounding these families? Useless. When it came down to it, they looked the other way. This isn’t a fluke. It’s exactly what happens when a culture lashes down “judgment” in the name of compassion and puts ideology ahead of common sense.
The so-called “mental health industry”—hugely funded and totally adored by the left—wants to blame vague “illness” or throw more money at “awareness.” But real parents, real conservatives know the truth: all the slogans in the world won’t save your kids from a society that refuses to deal plainly with evil and personal accountability. Lindsay’s own mother testified that these warning signs were clear weeks before those children were killed. In any sane world, that’s a blaring siren. Instead, everyone sat on their hands in the name of “privacy,” scared of offending someone’s feelings.
Liberals love to chatter about protecting children—unless it means holding someone responsible, or, heaven forbid, stepping in when alarm bells ring. They would rather bend over backwards to avoid making waves than enforce any actual standards in families or in public life. They pick “tolerance” over action, and it’s costing lives. This trial exposes that bitter reality. All their talk of “support” and “prevention,” yet three kids are dead. That’s the kind of result you get with touchy-feely policies and a culture that thinks “judgment” is somehow worse than violence.
Behind all this is the same smug class that shames real Americans for “traditional values.” They sneer at stay-at-home moms, at fathers who defend their children, at anyone who dares believe discipline matters anymore. The establishment proclaims itself too enlightened for “old-fashioned” intervention—until tragedy hits, and their precious system stands exposed as an empty shell.
How many more broken families will it take before America wakes up to what progressive priorities have done? The left’s empty promises don’t protect our kids—strong communities and unapologetic truth-telling do. If that makes me old-fashioned, so be it. Here’s a thought for all the hand-wringing experts: maybe it’s time to bring back some good, old-fashioned judgment.
