He’s already admitted to acting out “outside his marriage.” Yet, he wants us to believe he didn’t break a single rule. This is the brand of honesty the left keeps selling to the American public.
Democrat politicians love preaching about their so-called morals. They tell hardworking Americans how to live, what to say, and when to apologize. But when it’s their own conduct being called into question, suddenly the rules don’t apply. Gomez is the latest in a long line of liberal lawmakers caught up in scandal, but the media barely bats an eye—because he’s on their side.
Let’s remember: when a Republican even sneezes the wrong way, the Democrats and their cheerleaders in the press scream for resignations. But for Rep. Gomez and his pals, it’s always just a ‘personal mistake,’ and they parade out the same tired excuses. Never mind the American people who expect integrity from their leaders. Forget about setting an example for the children they claim to care so much about.
Gomez insists that he hasn’t violated any House ethics rules or broken any laws. But do we really trust the political class to police itself? The left built Washington into their own playground, with insiders backing up one another no matter what. If the Ethics Panel finally has to open a probe, you better believe there’s something foul going on.
This is exactly why so many folks have lost faith in Congress. How many more Democrats need to get caught before the rest of America wakes up? The hypocrisy is as thick as it gets. If Gomez truly did nothing wrong, why does this keep happening with the left? Maybe it’s time for Democrats to stop lecturing the rest of us on values and start looking in the mirror—if they can handle what they see.
