Wisconsin’s State Fair turned into a scene right out of a nightmare. Sunday night, while families tried to enjoy themselves, chaos exploded. Teenagers and young adults weren’t there to ride the Ferris wheel or eat funnel cakes—they were there to fight. Video footage lays it bare: fists flying, feet kicking, people running in fear while police tried to bring back order. Seven arrests. Countless innocent folks shaken. So much for “safe public spaces” in Biden’s America.
This is what happens when our country turns its back on common sense and tough consequences. Liberal politicians and soft-on-crime policies send a crystal-clear message to young people: Do whatever you want—there’s never any real punishment. No wonder violent mobs spring up in our streets, in our parks, and now even at our state fairs. The left’s obsession with “restorative justice” and “understanding root causes” is doing nothing but empowering thugs. Criminals laugh behind their hands while the rest of us pay the price.
Once upon a time, the State Fair was where families made memories, not where they sprinted away from stampedes of emboldened teens. But when politicians care more about pleasing activists and globalist interest groups than protecting everyday Americans, this is the result. Let’s not kid ourselves. Weak leaders would rather virtue signal on social media than keep moms, dads, and kids safe.
Why is no one on the left demanding justice for the victims? Why does the progressive elite weep for violent offenders and never for innocent citizens? Maybe they think chaos is good for pushing their agenda. Maybe they’d prefer we all just get used to cowering in fear, calling 911, and hoping the police—who liberals are forever trying to defund—show up in time.
Enough is enough. It’s time this country remembers: crime should have consequences. There’s no excuse for what happened at the Wisconsin State Fair, and there’s no excuse for the politicians who let things get this bad. Do we want our state fairs—or our neighborhoods—controlled by gangs of lawless teenagers? Or do we want America back?
