It’s the same sad story in New York again—liberal elites sitting pretty while the city’s money gets torched. The West Harlem Development Corp. was supposed to boost the neighborhood, but instead, it’s a monument to corruption and waste. Tens of millions were funneled in, yet West Harlem is still struggling. Ask yourself: Where did all that money go?
Here’s what’s really sickening. The state’s top watchdog, Attorney General Tish James, just sits on her hands. She acts tough when it comes to political opponents or grandstanding for the latest woke headline. But when actual lives are on the line—when poor New Yorkers are cheated out of real help—she’s nowhere to be found. Why? Because these so-called “economic development” schemes are her party’s playground. They throw the cash around, buy influence, and then leave neighborhoods worse off.
Communities like West Harlem deserve better. Residents don’t need another fancy committee or hollow promise. They need jobs, opportunities, and real results. But thanks to Tish James and her liberal pals, they get nothing but slick PR and crumbling streets. No accountability, no outrage—just taxpayer dollars turning into smoke. If this isn’t anti-American, what is?
Let’s be honest, this is classic left-wing hypocrisy. The same people who scream about inequality are the ones overseeing the most wasteful, unaccountable projects. The “leaders” who claim to care about the little guy? They’re too busy cozying up to globalist donors and chasing their next political photo op to lift a finger for families in need.
This shameful mess should wake people up. If defenders of “the people” can stand by while charity money vanishes and call it progress, New York is in deep trouble. How long will liberals get away with such incompetence and neglect? Maybe it’s time voters demand real leadership—before there’s nothing left but ashes and empty promises.
