The radical left just can’t help themselves. This week, in yet another shocking display of anti-Americanism, a campaign staffer for Michigan Democrat Abdul El-Sayed let it slip how they really feel about our nation. Their outrage? A video of Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers riding in an old red Ford pickup with two American flags proudly waving in the breeze at the iconic Woodward Dream Cruise. According to them, this scene is on par with white flight and—believe it or not—the Ku Klux Klan. That’s right: flying Old Glory and loving classic American trucks is apparently hateful now.
This is classic liberal hysteria. Only the far left could twist a wholesome, patriotic moment into a symbol of racism. Are we honestly supposed to believe that loving the Stars and Stripes and American craftsmanship is code for bigotry? It just shows—they hate the symbols and traditions regular Americans cherish. The left is so obsessed with division, they see hatred where there is none, and label anyone who disagrees with them as some sort of monster.
Once again, Democrats show their true colors: out-of-touch, resentful, and openly hostile to American pride. They pretend to care about “unity” while vilifying the very symbols that bring this country together. For them, seeing a man ride in a Ford pickup with the flag is an outrage. Apparently, these elitists would rather trade in our rugged spirit for globalist lectures and a bland, borderless society where America is just another country on the map.
This is the same crowd that burns flags, tears down statues, and bows to the latest woke trend. Now, honoring our flag and driving a beloved American truck is a crime in their eyes. The left wants to erase everything that makes this nation special. They sound more like out-of-touch Ivy League professors than public servants who understand the heart of this country.
Here’s the real question: If waving the American flag offends them so much, what exactly are they running for? Maybe instead of running for Senate, these Democrat elites should spend more time actually listening to the proud, hardworking people they claim to represent. Maybe then they’d learn that love of country and the American dream aren’t going anywhere—no matter how much the radical left rages against them.
