Another Day, Another Democrat Caught in Scandal
Here we go again. Yet another Democrat, Rep. Jimmy Gomez of California, has found himself crawling out of the muck this week. House investigators are digging into new and extremely serious allegations, this time involving “inappropriate sexual contact with a House staffer.” That’s right—one of the so-called “champions of progress” in Washington can’t even respect the basic decency owed to those who work under him.
When will liberals learn? For years, they’ve puffed out their chests, wagging their fingers at conservatives, pretending to be the party of virtue and “Me Too” accountability. But the second the spotlight swivels onto one of their own, the story changes. Suddenly, the political machine grinds into action to do damage control and play down the filth brewing within their own ranks.
Democrats love to act morally superior, holding endless “ethics hearings” against conservatives for every minor misstep—even when it’s nothing but a witch hunt. But when a liberal lawmaker faces a truly serious accusation like this, where’s the outrage from their allies in the media? Where are the wall-to-wall headlines demanding resignations and jail time? Instead, they hope people are too distracted with their daily struggles—struggles made worse, incidentally, by leftist policies—to notice the rot in their own house.
And let’s talk about California for a second. It’s a state run by Democrats for decades, plagued by high crime, sky-high taxes, and a homelessness crisis worse than most war zones. Now, their very own representatives can’t even keep their hands to themselves. The people of California ought to be screaming for new leadership, not more of the same failed “progressivism” that breeds this sort of arrogant entitlement.
It’s clear what’s really at stake: Liberals pretend to defend the vulnerable, all while protecting their power and their elite, globalist inner circles. How long will Americans let these phonies lecture the rest of us? When Democrats trip over their own corruption, maybe it’s finally time to hold them to the same standards they claim to uphold. Or is accountability just for everyone else?
