Seattle’s radical socialist mayor is finally facing the music. The so-called “progressive” experiment in the Emerald City is crumbling—and not even her own party is standing by her side anymore. When you lose the support of your fellow Democrats in deep-blue Washington, you know you’ve hit rock bottom.
After yet another horrific mass shooting shook the city on July 27, many expected the mayor to step up and take real action. Instead, the city’s leadership floundered with the same tired excuses and empty promises. Regular folks are the ones who pay the price, while activist politicians like Mayor Katie Wilson push reckless policies that leave streets lawless and families scared to go outside.
Now, even the state’s liberal Governor Bob Ferguson is throwing shade at Wilson. Rather than have her back, he publicly highlighted scathing criticism of her failed leadership. It’s clear: the Democrat elite is rushing to distance themselves as recall efforts gain steam. Suddenly, their comrade-in-arms is political deadweight.
Let’s be honest—this is the natural outcome of letting radical leftists run a once-great American city. They promised a socialist utopia. What did Seattle get? Record crime, open drug use, filthy encampments, and local businesses driven out. These are the disastrous results of “defund the police” slogans and anti-American globalist fantasies. Liberal hypocrisy is now the city’s only export.
The recall movement is picking up serious momentum, and it’s no wonder why. Decent citizens are fed up with politicians who put criminals before communities. Seattle deserves leaders who put safety, order, and American values first—not socialist ideologues living in a fantasy world. If this isn’t a wake-up call for liberal America, what will it take?
