Cornyn staffer defects to Democrat campaign and sparks outrage over GOP loyalty betrayal

The circus in Washington never fails to shock, but this one takes the cake. Senator John Cornyn, a so-called leader from Texas, decided to make a public fuss over a staffer leaving his office to join Democrat James Talarico’s campaign. Could anyone imagine wasting time or breath on such a pointless act? Cornyn is already a lame duck, with his best days — if you can call them that — behind him. At this point, speaking out on his staff’s personal decisions is nothing but political theater.

Let’s get one thing straight: Talarico is not turning into some political rebel if he lands in Congress. He talks the same liberal game that we’ve heard for years — open borders, higher taxes, weak on crime, and never missing a chance to grovel at the altar of woke policies. Only a clueless Republican would think there’s even a remote chance that Talarico could ever be anything but a rubber stamp for the radical left. By jumping onto his campaign, Cornyn’s former staffer just threw all common sense out the window.

This move reveals the real problem with the Republican establishment. Too many RINOs have surrounded themselves with polite cocktail conservatives who think working across the aisle means selling out conservative ideals. They claim to be fighting for American families, but then their people run off to help Democrats who want to turn Texas into California. If that doesn’t make your blood boil, you haven’t been paying attention.

Why would anyone from a supposedly conservative office want a hand in a Democrat’s power grab? Only someone blinded by the empty buzzwords of “unity” or “bipartisanship” would cheer for Talarico — a man who, if elected, would vote lockstep with the globalist, socialist mob in Washington, D.C. This isn’t just a job switch. It’s a glaring red flag about loyalty and political judgment.

Cornyn should save his energy. He’s got bigger issues — like his own legacy, or what’s left of it — to worry about. Republicans need real fighters, not fainthearted staffers who flee at the first opportunity to curry favor with the left. Maybe next time, Cornyn should spend less time worrying about his staff’s free agency and more time standing up to the snakes in his own party. If Republicans keep playing nice with these Democrat wannabes, who’s really conserving anything at all?
