The ugly truth about higher education just got even uglier. Fourteen people have been charged in a cocaine-trafficking ring operating out of two fraternities at Pennsylvania State University. That’s not some wild claim. It’s deadly serious criminal conduct happening in the heart of one of America’s supposed “elite” universities.
What’s really happening in these taxpayer-funded institutions? While the left lectures everyday Americans about “safe spaces” and “social justice,” students at one of our most celebrated universities are busy running drugs. The leftwing media and liberal professors love to paint college kids as innocent victims needing endless coddling. But meanwhile, some of these students are breaking the law, pushing poison, and putting lives at risk.
Where was campus leadership? Universities are quick to cancel conservative speakers for fear of “causing harm,” but can’t seem to stop cocaine rings in their own dorms. They waste time on virtue-signaling diversity seminars while the real threats are ignored right under their noses. Maybe if the administration spent less time waving rainbow flags and more time enforcing the law, we wouldn’t see headlines like this.
And let’s not kid ourselves: this isn’t just a Penn State problem. It’s a symptom of a bigger disease eating away at American colleges nationwide. The left wants to turn universities into training grounds for woke ideology while basic discipline and moral standards go up in smoke.
How many more scandals will it take before Americans demand real accountability from these so-called “institutions of higher learning”? Maybe the real lesson on campus these days is simple — as long as you’re politically correct, you can get away with just about anything.
