It’s no secret that being a TV news anchor is a gig filled with smug self-importance. Just take a look at some of the faces gracing America’s screens night after night—they read the teleprompter, strike their serious poses, and act like they’re delivering truth from on high. Yet a recent moment out of Missouri proves something that most conservatives have known for ages: you don’t need to be uptight and miserable to do the news. Sometimes, laughter really is the best medicine.
Let’s be honest, most news anchors make it incredibly hard for viewers to take them seriously. The liberal media elite has turned once-respected journalism into an echo chamber for hollow DNC talking points. Instead of real reporting, we get robots mouthing the same tired lines about diversity, climate crises, and endless government spending—all with a smugness so thick you’d need a chainsaw to cut through it.
People like Margaret Brennan and Jen Psaki are shining examples of the modern media trainwreck: obsessed with narrative control, addicted to lecturing the rest of us, and utterly uninterested in actual hard-hitting journalism. The American people notice the phoniness. Average folks don’t care about their hair, their wardrobe, or their teleprompter skills. What matters is that these anchors are little more than mouthpieces for the left and big government.
So, when a Missouri reporter broke the mold and showed genuine, honest laughter on air, it was a breath of fresh air. It was a simple reminder that real people still exist inside the media machine—even if only rarely. There’s no need to attack these anchors over their appearance; their actions and words are enough to draw criticism. The public is sick of plastic news and fake outrage over insignificant issues while the left ignores border chaos, inflation, and threats to free speech.
Maybe if more anchors ditched their phony elitism and showed an ounce of good humor—or, better yet, real journalism—we’d have a media the American people could actually trust again. But as long as the networks are packed with DNC loyalists and ruling-class yes-men, don’t hold your breath. Are we going to keep letting them insult our intelligence, or is it time to turn the channel for good?
