Once again, chaos reigns at the nation’s airports. Yesterday, in the liberal stronghold of Los Angeles, two massive commercial airliners couldn’t even manage to avoid running into each other. Delta and Air Canada—the pride of government bureaucracy and globalist air travel—collided right on the tarmac, one scraping its wing into the back of the other like a bad driver in a Walmart parking lot. It’s a miracle nobody got hurt, but that’s not the point.
This kind of mess is exactly what happens when security and common sense take a back seat to endless red tape and liberal virtue signaling. The elites love to boast about how much safer or more “equitable” air travel has become under their watch—but Americans see the truth every time they try to fly. Delayed flights, lost luggage, and now—literal crashes at the gates. If our airports can’t handle the basics, how are we supposed to trust them with the border, cyber threats, or even our own safety?
Let’s talk about Air Canada. That’s a foreign airline sitting at an American gate. Meanwhile, Delta, supposedly an American company, cares more about its diversity statements than about running a tight ship. It’s no wonder these planes are knocking into each other. The globalist push to pack skies with foreign carriers hasn’t made anyone safer. All it’s done is make American airspace more crowded and confusing. Liberals love open borders, even if that means our runways start to look like a demolition derby.
Where’s the accountability? The left is quick to demand government bailouts for the airline industry—remember those “COVID relief” checks? Yet, when their rules get in the way of basic safety, or when overworked staff and bad management cause messes like this, they suddenly disappear. Silence from the so-called leaders in DC, and nothing but excuses from the bureaucrats on the ground.
This was just a “minor” accident, they’ll say. But the next time the left is cutting deals with international airlines or bragging about “green” TSA uniforms, maybe they should ask themselves: can they even manage to keep planes apart on the runway? Or is this the real cost of liberal incompetence—American safety sacrificed for a feel-good story and a fancy press conference?
