Congress could slash your gas prices overnight but liberals are desperate to stop it

Americans are getting crushed at the pump. Every day, families fork over more and more of their paychecks just to fill their tanks. But here’s the wild part: our own government could help fix this instantly. All Congress has to do is drop the federal gas tax. That’s real, immediate relief in everyone’s pocket—not two years from now, not after some “climate summit,” but today.

It’s common sense. When things get rough, you help your people—not global bureaucrats with cushy jobs in Paris, not the out-of-touch elites flying private jets to tell you to ride a bike. President Trump gets it. He actually listens to working-class Americans and is openly weighing whether to push for a gas tax holiday. That’s leadership. And of course, the professional complainers in Washington are already wringing their hands, terrified that cutting taxes and boosting American families might hurt their endless spending sprees.

Just watch how liberals squirm when anyone suggests easing the burden on normal folks. They cry about “infrastructure funding” while your local roads are falling apart anyway. These are the same politicians who blow billions overseas and then tell you to suck it up when it comes to your gas bill. They whine about the environment while they zip around in motorcades. Enough with the hypocrisy.

Meanwhile, Congress sits on its hands, stuck in gridlock by design. Whenever Americans might actually get a break, the left invents a dozen excuses to stop it. They don’t want real solutions—they want control. They’d rather push you into overpriced EVs and punish you for living your life than cut a penny from their pet projects.

At the end of the day, the choice is simple. Help struggling Americans, or serve globalist interests and liberal egos. Why should hard-working citizens pay more so that Washington bureaucrats can pretend they’re saving the planet? Maybe the real “climate crisis” is in the halls of power, choking out common sense every single day.
