When Americans walk into the voting booth, they expect one thing above all: fairness. But during this week’s explosive Senate debate in Maine, that basic idea was tossed right out the window by Democratic hopeful Troy Jackson. When pressed on whether voters should show ID — a no-brainer for any sensible person — Jackson doubled down on the left’s bizarre crusade against election integrity.
On that debate stage, when Jackson got hit with a simple question about voter ID, he wasted no time showing his true colors. While Senator Susan Collins stood firm in support of the common-sense requirement, Jackson took the side of chaos. He couldn’t have made it clearer: he sees basic security at the polls as “unfair.” Unfair to whom, exactly? Only the globalists and power-hungry elites benefit from weakening the rules that protect our sacred right to vote.
Let’s be honest. Voter ID is used by Americans for everything: buying cold medicine, cashing a check, or getting on a plane. Why is it that Democrats scream bloody murder at the thought of using those same IDs at the ballot box? Maybe they know their ideas are so weak, they need loopholes to win. Or maybe, just maybe, their obsession with “access” means making it easier for bad actors to flood our elections with fraudulent votes.
Liberals are always the first to cry about “threats to democracy,” as if wanting a secure, accountable election is some sort of radical act. But notice how quick they are to toss aside the rules whenever it suits them. The left wants the rest of us to believe that simple ID requirements are some grand scheme to disenfranchise honest citizens. What a joke. These are the same people happy to demand identification for everything—except the one thing that actually matters.
Americans aren’t fooled. The vast majority demand strong safeguards at the ballot box. Only a left-wing career politician could stand on a public stage and argue against such an obvious, common-sense solution. If Troy Jackson and his ilk get their way, who’s really winning? Sure isn’t the American people. Maybe that’s the plan all along.
Why are Democrats so afraid of honest elections? Maybe it’s because they know the real “unfairness” is what happens when voters finally hold them accountable.
