The latest circus in our so-called “justice system” just played out for the world to see. Christa Pike, a convicted murderer, somehow managed to survive her own execution. After a botched round of lethal injections, she came back conscious—and able to speak. You would think the one thing our prison system could get right is removing a cold-blooded killer from society. But apparently, even that’s too much to ask from the same bureaucrats who can’t figure out basic border security.
Liberals will probably cry foul and demand more “humane” treatment for Pike. They’re quick to defend criminals while ignoring the real victims. This is what happens when soft-on-crime policies run wild and left-wing activists get their hands into every decision. The focus has shifted from justice to endless red tape that protects the worst among us.
Anti-death penalty advocates always seem to care more about the feelings of killers than about the families torn apart by their crimes. Make no mistake: their endless legal games and constant calls for “reform” have only led to disaster. Now, even the finality of the death penalty is up for debate, thanks to activists who think enforcing the law is somehow cruel and unusual.
Meanwhile, America’s globalist critics are probably drooling over this embarrassing failure. They love to point their fingers and use every mistake as an excuse to push European-style “compassion,” all while real Americans suffer the consequences of a weak and broken system. Who benefits? Definitely not law-abiding citizens.
If the government can’t even carry out justice for the most dangerous criminals, what hope is there for the rest of us? Maybe it’s time for the so-called experts and activists to step aside and let common sense take over. Or are we just going to keep letting liberal incompetence turn our country into a punchline?
