Democrat fights for movie theaters while New York crumbles under real crises

There’s no limit to the madness of liberal priorities, and Brad Hoylman-Sigal just proved it. While New York City faces real problems—crime, sky-high rent, crumbling infrastructure—he decided to pull a stunt for a movie theater. Seriously? The city is falling apart, and this Democrat’s big idea is to fight for popcorn and box offices. Is this leadership or just liberal theater?

Liberals love to pretend they’re champions for “the people.” But here’s the truth: when they’re handed power, they squander it on frills and distractions. Hoylman-Sigal must think the average struggling New Yorker is craving a plush seat in some artsy cinema, not safer streets or a better job. Sorry, Senator Broadway, but real New Yorkers want results, not red carpets.

While families are tightening their belts, Hoylman-Sigal wants to play savior for a movie house relic. This isn’t just out of touch; it’s a complete embarrassment. Other cities are demanding parks, libraries, community centers—actual benefits. In New York, we get Netflix with stale popcorn, courtesy of woke politicians.

Big globalist interests are bleeding the city dry, and what do the Democrats offer in return? More distractions. Maybe if our leaders weren’t obsessed with vanity projects, NYC might have a shot at solving real problems. But that would mean they’d have to roll up their sleeves and get dirty—not pose for the cameras at some Fifth Avenue premiere.

This is exactly why people have had enough of the clown show at City Hall. If the best a progressive can do is safeguard a dusty old theater, maybe it’s time they all took a bow and left the stage. With priorities like these, no wonder the city’s going off-script.
