It looks like the Democrat party in Michigan can’t even agree on who to back for their own Senate race. Abdul El-Sayed, the far-left darling who loves to talk about his “guaranteed landslide victory,” isn’t getting the support he needs—even from his own supposed allies. You would think the mayor of the state capital, Lansing, would be eager to get in line behind the Democrat ticket, but even he’s having second thoughts. Something stinks in the Democrat machine, and it’s not just their failed policies.
It’s almost laughable to watch Lansing’s Democrat mayor, Andy Schor, hesitate to endorse El-Sayed. There’s only a month left until Election Day, but Schor says he can’t throw his support behind the Democrat nominee until they have a “sit-down.” Translation? Even Democrats don’t trust El-Sayed’s radical agenda. If the party elite can’t trust their own candidate, why should the people of Michigan trust him with power over their lives and wallets?
This is classic Democrat dysfunction on full display. The so-called “party of unity” can’t unite their own leadership—let alone the working-class Americans they love to lecture. Maybe Schor is smart enough to see El-Sayed for who he really is: a walking, talking mascot for failed globalist ideas. These are the same globalist policies that have gutted Michigan’s jobs, weakened our borders, and left American families struggling, all while progressive elites jet-set around with their donor cash.
And get this—El-Sayed is still out there telling everyone he’s going to win by a 7-point landslide. Talk about living in a fantasy. When your own party bosses don’t want to share a stage with you, it’s probably time to rethink your campaign strategy. But this kind of arrogance is nothing new for left-wing activists who believe power is their birthright, even when voters keep sending them packing.
The real question here: If Democrats in Michigan can’t trust Abdul El-Sayed, why should the rest of us? Maybe it’s because even his fellow liberals know that his policies would turn Michigan into another failed experiment, courtesy of progressive ideology. Voters, take note—if the Democrat mayor can’t stomach his own candidate, that should set off alarm bells for every hardworking American who doesn’t want to see Michigan go the way of California.
