San Francisco, the city that treats socialism like a religion, is finally getting a dose of its own medicine—and it’s ugly. After decades of watching Nancy Pelosi rule her House seat like royalty, her political empire is crumbling. The throne is wide open. But don’t expect anything resembling sanity. Voters aren’t getting real change. They’re being forced to choose between two rabidly liberal Democrats in a brutal dogfight for Pelosi’s job.
This isn’t a race between ideas. It’s a contest between State Senator Scott Wiener, a poster child for every out-of-touch left-wing fad imaginable, and Connie Chan, a San Francisco supervisor who doubles down on the city’s self-destructive policies. Forget about law and order. Forget about supporting working families. These two are battling to see who can be more “progressive” while the city falls apart.
Pelosi’s hold on San Francisco has lasted nearly 40 years, locking out any real debate. She handed down lectures from her ivory tower while average citizens suffered from crime, homelessness, and skyrocketing living costs. Now, her would-be successors are promising more of the same—endless virtue-signaling and bizarre schemes, all at the expense of taxpayers. This is the reward for decades of liberal mismanagement: a brawl with no exit ramp for common sense.
While normal Americans are craving security and prosperity, San Francisco’s Democratic elites are fighting over who gets to keep pushing their failed radical agenda. Not a single Republican in sight. No one left to sound the alarm as the city slips further into chaos. Voters don’t get a real choice—they get two flavors of the same bitter medicine.
So this is the “choice” in San Francisco after Pelosi: which globalist, anti-business, big-government Democrat will run the place further into the ground? If this is the best Democrats can offer, they’ll reap what they sow. Maybe one day, San Francisco will wake up and remember what real leadership looks like—if there’s anything left to save.
