When it comes to picking and choosing which events to obsess over, the left is never short on hypocrisy. Look at how Democrats act when October 7 gets compared to January 6. It’s downright embarrassing. On one hand, you have a massacre—real terrorism, bloodshed, innocent lives stolen by Hamas in Israel. On the other, a couple hours of disruption at the U.S. Capitol, with zero guns and a cast of characters that included confused grandmas who got swept up by the crowd. Yet the left would have you believe that the latter is somehow worse.
You can almost hear liberal politicians gnashing their teeth, shaking their fists, and clutching their pearls every time January 6 rolls around. They treat it like the darkest day in our nation’s history. The facts don’t support their hysteria, but that’s never stopped them before. Meanwhile, thousands of miles away, Hamas terrorists actually slaughtered women and children in cold blood, live-streamed their crimes, and ignited a war. Does the left care? You’d hardly know it. Too busy preaching about MAGA “insurrectionists” to bother calling out actual evil.
Why do the Democrats twist themselves in knots to downplay terrorism while blowing January 6 out of proportion? Two reasons: power and narrative. They’ll do anything to paint their opponents as the real threat—cherry-pick, exaggerate, and outright lie. If it fits their anti-American, globalist agenda, they’ll run with it. But God forbid they admit that true evil exists beyond the borders of red states—they might have to take a stand for Western values. And that, apparently, is just too much to ask.
Even the media plays along with this fake outrage machine. The mainstream news cycles keep spinning up the same stories, telling us that patriots are dangerous, while treating Hamas like they’re misunderstood activists. It’s sick. It’s dishonest. And it proves once again that the Democrat party hates when America stands tall, but cheers when our enemies strike.
Let’s just call it what it is: a shameful double standard. The left cares more about demonizing their fellow Americans than standing up to real terrorists. If January 6 is the worst day in American history, then what on earth do you call October 7? Or is it only terrorism when it’s politically convenient for Democrats?
