Another heroic survivor is speaking out, fresh from the nightmare of Hamas captivity. Instead of cowering or begging for attention, the freed hostage got in the faces of her captors, declaring the simple truth: She survived, and they lost. That’s grit. That’s real courage. And it’s a lesson the entire West would do well to remember.
But while an actual victim shows more backbone than most world leaders, look at what’s happening on the streets of New York City. On the anniversary of the most grotesque terror attack since 9/11, what do we get? Roving mobs spreading their hate. Pro-Hamas protesters try to shout down decency, drowning in their own anti-Semitic filth. And making it all worse? The so-called “Democratic Socialist” mayor, Zohran Mamdani, stirs these mobs on instead of condemning them. Where’s the leadership? Gone—buried beneath layers of progressive cowardice.
It’s enraging, but not surprising. The American left has abandoned our values in favor of globalist nonsense and intersectional games. They see terrorists as “freedom fighters,” playing both sides to court whatever grievance group screams the loudest. There is no moral clarity—just a twisted game of oppression Olympics, where actual evil gets a free pass as long as it fits their political agenda.
The real world isn’t some classroom theory cooked up by Ivy League elites. The hostages of Hamas know what evil really looks like. They endured it. They survived it. The pampered politicians and ideologues chanting in safe American streets? They wouldn’t last an hour under that kind of tyranny. Yet here they are, hand in hand with the worst of humanity, thinking virtue-signaling will keep them safe. It won’t.
Time to face the facts: Celebrating hate and coddling extremists doesn’t bring peace. It only spins the spiral downward. Real courage means standing up for what’s right, even—or especially—when the mob screams otherwise. Maybe the left needs a reminder from the brave souls who actually know the face of evil. Because if you’re standing with the terrorists on our streets, whose side are you really on?
