Something just doesn’t add up in Texas politics these days. State Rep. James Talarico, the darling of the Democrat party and their handpicked Senate nominee, has suddenly disappeared from the campaign trail right in the thick of a heated general election. What’s the excuse from his team? He’s got “the flu.” How convenient. Liberals love hiding behind excuses when they’re in trouble, but even for them, this one is pretty hard to swallow.
Let’s be honest—hardworking Texans know the difference between feeling a little under the weather and flat-out abandoning your job. Real Americans push through. They don’t just vanish when voters need answers. But Talarico isn’t like the people he wants to represent. Instead, he’s ducking debates, skipping events, and leaving Texans with nothing but a half-baked story about catching the sniffles. Seriously? That’s the best they’ve got?
This looks exactly like the same old Democrat playbook: avoid accountability, dodge tough questions, and hope the media keeps covering for you. If a Republican nominee had disappeared during election season, you can bet the liberal news networks would be pounding on doors and demanding answers. But when their own chosen candidate goes missing? Suddenly, “he has the flu” is all the explanation anyone needs.
It’s this type of incompetence and arrogance that Texans are sick of. The left acts like they own the state, but when the heat gets turned up, they can’t even be bothered to show up. Maybe Talarico isn’t ready for the job. Maybe his handlers don’t trust him on stage. Or maybe the Democrats are running scared, worried the people are finally catching on to their globalist schemes and anti-American games.
Either way, Texans deserve better than a no-show. If James Talarico can’t handle a little campaign pressure, how is he supposed to fight for Texas in the U.S. Senate? Or maybe the real sickness isn’t the flu—it’s the rotten attitude of a party that thinks they can lie to ordinary people and get away with it. Texans should remember who actually shows up when it counts.
