Is this really where we are now? With Election Day fast approaching, Americans are being told to take seriously someone like Abdul El-Sayed, who can’t even give a clear answer on Iran. This isn’t just a little slip-up. This is the kind of dangerous non-response that should immediately end a Senate campaign.
Let’s get one thing straight: Iran is no friend to the United States. They’re the world’s number one state sponsor of terror, chanting “Death to America” while enriching uranium and firing up their proxies to kill Americans and our allies. Any serious candidate for Senate should know this and say so, loud and clear. But El-Sayed? He dances around tough questions. He won’t take a stand. This goes beyond weakness. It’s disqualifying.
Why is it that so many Democrats and so-called progressives give Iran a pass? They lecture us on “nuance” and “multilateral diplomacy” as if tough talk is the problem and not the terror regime burning American flags. Are their globalist donors whispering in their ears? Or do they just have no backbone left after years of caving to leftist groupthink? Either way, El-Sayed’s hesitation is no accident – it’s standard operating procedure on the left.
It’s this same flabby attitude that got us into trouble under Obama, opening the door for Iran to become even more dangerous. Now they want us to hand the keys to the Senate to someone who can’t muster the courage to condemn Tehran? Voters deserve better than another run-of-the-mill Democrat who puts political correctness ahead of national security.
The American people want clarity, not cowardice. If you can’t say what needs to be said about Iran, you have no business representing this country in Washington. The real question is: do Democrats even care about defending America anymore or is appeasing our enemies just business as usual?
