Talarico disappears from Texas Senate race and blames the flu Texans left wondering if he can handle the heat

There’s a strange silence coming from James Talarico, the Democrat hoping to snatch a Texas Senate seat. For nearly two weeks, Texans have heard nothing out of him—no rants about “equity,” no lectures about “climate crisis.” Suddenly, right when folks expected him to hit the campaign trail, he vanished. His excuse? He says he “had the flu.”

Texas was built by tough men and women who fought through storms, droughts, and economic crashes. Now, we’re supposed to believe this left-wing darling can’t show up to do his job because of a runny nose? Texans wake up at dawn, work long days, and make things happen, sickness or not. But not Talarico. Apparently, if he catches a sniffle, he retreats behind a screen and sends out a half-hearted “video appearance,” hoping no one notices he’s missing.

Maybe that’s just how liberals view leadership—duck the fight, hide when it gets hard, and hope excuses will cover for a lack of backbone. Talarico’s approach is the opposite of real Texas grit. If he can’t stand up during a campaign, how can anyone trust him to stand up to DC bureaucrats, globalist interests, or the radical left?

After those first few days out of sight, there’s been chatter that Talarico was seen recently. Not exactly giving speeches or meeting voters—but spotted out and about. Is he fit for office, or just fit for flu season excuses? This is the guy who wants to represent Texas values in Washington? Give me a break.

Once again, we see what Democrats think of the voters—just feed them a story, keep quiet, and hope the media covers your tracks. But Texans don’t buy it. If Talarico can’t handle the campaign trail, he’ll never survive the swamp. Is this really the best the left can offer our great state? Or is “Texas tough” just too much for these liberal wannabes to handle?
