Instead of focusing on cleaning up the streets and keeping criminals behind bars, Kaul’s top lab leaders have been moonlighting on the side—landing their firm a jaw-dropping $777,044 contract. Taxpayers deserve to know: Who approved this deal, and how did these so-called public servants find time to rake in cash outside their official duties?
It’s always the same excuse from liberals like Kaul: Trust us, we know what we’re doing. But when Democrats run the show, “oversight” disappears faster than evidence at a crime scene. The public’s business gets side-swiped by private profits, and liberal bureaucrats hope nobody’s watching. If the shoe was on the other foot, with conservatives pulling these stunts, the mainstream media would be foaming at the mouth. But since it’s Democrats, it’s crickets—all while the public keeps paying the bill.
This is yet another example of the liberal elite putting themselves before the people they’re supposed to serve. The left always claims to care about transparency and good government, but when it’s their own friends cashing in, suddenly the rules don’t matter. Meanwhile, crime keeps soaring and the people who are supposed to crack down on it are busy double-dipping.
Where are the “safeguards” Kaul brags about? If these crime lab leaders had time to chase private contracts, were they really doing their jobs as public servants—or just padding their bank accounts? Wisconsin families deserve honesty and accountability, not insiders playing both sides and hiding behind red tape.
Democrats love to talk about accountability for everyone else, but when their own are involved, it’s nothing but silence, secrecy, and excuses. How much longer will voters tolerate these hypocrites treating public jobs like a personal ATM? Maybe it’s time for leaders who remember that serving the people means putting Wisconsin first—no more, no less.
