Hurricane Isaias has slammed into Florida with a fury that only Mother Nature can deliver. With wind gusts soaring to a wild 96 miles per hour near Pensacola Bay, families across the state were left scrambling to brace for impact. While Florida’s tough, red-blooded citizens rolled up their sleeves and took care of business, the only thing more predictable than hurricane season is the left’s call to panic and blame “climate change” for every drop of rain.
It’s almost comical to watch big media outlets and out-of-touch liberal elites lecture Floridians about how to “prepare” when most of them have never even shoveled a driveway or boarded up a window. The bureaucrats in D.C. and globalist activists never waste a moment to exploit a natural disaster. Their real agenda? Grabbing more federal power, shaming American energy, and pushing job-killing regulations in the name of “saving the planet.”
Of course, they’ll never miss a chance to point fingers, spinning stories about hurricanes like Isaias as proof that America should bow to the Paris Climate Accord or let China and the United Nations dictate our future. Yet, every hurricane season, it’s the American spirit—neighbors helping neighbors, local officials leading the charge, and communities standing strong—not government red tape or globalist panels, that actually gets things done.
And let’s talk about preparedness. The same liberal politicians who defund police departments, welcome open borders, and mock self-reliance are now the first to criticize how Florida handles emergencies. The hypocrisy is stunning. Floridians don’t need lectures from Hollywood or Congress. They need support, not scolding, and they’ll always put community before politics.
When 96 mph gusts come for your backyard, do you really think a lecture from Manhattan or a lecture from Brussels will save you? Or will it be your own grit, your family, your faith, and your neighborhood that gets you through the storm? Americans know the answer—and it isn’t more government “help.”
