Zelensky lashes out as Trump’s Russian diesel deal puts America first and Ukraine on notice

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is furious about President Trump’s bold move to cut a deal on Russian diesel. Zelensky acted shocked—like he wasn’t warned. But let’s be clear: he ignored President Trump’s advice to stop taking out Russian refineries. Now, suddenly, Zelensky feels “betrayed” because America is putting its interests first instead of propping up his globalist war.

For years, liberal elites in DC have treated Ukraine like a sacred cow. They send billions in taxpayer money over there, all while ignoring the pain here at home: rising gas prices, a broken border, cities rotting from crime and drugs. But when Trump decides to lift sanctions on Russian diesel, the establishment crowd loses their minds. Why? Because it proves Trump isn’t their puppet—he’s not afraid to pull the plug on endless foreign handouts.

Zelensky had a choice. He could have listened to Trump and dialed back attacks on Russian oil infrastructure. Instead, he played the martyr, gambled with American patience, and now he’s pouting for the cameras because Trump dared to negotiate a deal that benefits Americans first. It’s classic liberal hypocrisy—crying foul when their reckless behavior finally has consequences.

Let’s not pretend Washington’s left-wing bureaucrats care about anyone but themselves and their friends overseas. As soon as Trump does something that helps American workers and consumers—like securing cheaper energy—they smear him as heartless. Yet they were nowhere to be found when Ukraine was busy stirring up trouble and risking a bigger war. The media loves to paint Zelensky as a victim, but they won’t talk about his stubbornness.

Maybe it’s time for Zelensky and the liberal lapdogs to realize the United States isn’t their piggy bank or attack dog. Trump knows too many Americans are done footing the bill for endless foreign disputes while our own country is in crisis. So why should we keep coming to Ukraine’s rescue just to satisfy the globalist elite? America’s strength comes from putting America first—and no “betrayed” foreign leader is going to change that.
