When Hurricane Isaias tore through the coast, liberals were quick to break out the tired old talking points about climate change and government bureaucracy. But while these so-called “leaders” sit behind their desks and blame the weather, American families face the reality: at least four lives lost and hundreds of thousands still without power. Where’s the action? Where’s the backbone?
This storm didn’t just blow over a few trees. It exposed the cracks in our energy grid, the result of years of failed policies pushed by Democrats who care more about globalist climate treaties than everyday Americans. Instead of investing in sturdy infrastructure, they throw taxpayer dollars at overpriced “green” projects that do nothing when an actual crisis hits.
The left likes to shame anyone who points out their failures, but here’s the truth: their priorities are a joke. While the American people sit in the dark, shivering and waiting for help, bureaucrats hold meetings and make empty promises. Wasn’t big government supposed to keep us safe? Maybe if they spent less time virtue-signaling and more time on real solutions, we wouldn’t be stuck in this mess.
It’s infuriating to watch politicians pretend they care—after cutting deals with globalist elites and foreign interests, they ignore the crumbling power lines in their own backyards. This is what happens when leaders bow to green activists instead of listening to their own citizens. Real conservatives know that strong infrastructure, not woke propaganda, is what keeps America running.
Americans need leaders who put their own people first, not some far-off idea of “global justice.” Maybe the next time a storm like Isaias hits, the left will focus less on press conferences and more on getting the lights back on. Or is that too much to ask from the party that prizes ideology over reality?
