Zohran Mamdani just showed New York which communities he really cares about and the snub is shocking

Zohran Mamdani just made it crystal clear how little he cares about some of New York’s oldest and proudest communities. While politicians love to talk about “diversity” and “inclusion,” Mamdani’s real record shows who he thinks matters—and who doesn’t. He’s left hardworking Italian New Yorkers off the city’s cultural map, as if their traditions and history don’t count. This isn’t just a careless mistake. It’s a nasty snub from someone who clearly plays favorites when it comes to which cultures deserve recognition.

What’s worse, Mamdani’s contempt doesn’t stop with Italian Americans. He’s quick to lecture about fairness and understanding, but his actions tell a different story. On the very night that Jewish families around the world were reeling from the terror of October 7, Mamdani made a public statement of his own—by going out for dinner at a Palestinian restaurant. It may look like just a meal, but in the world of New York politics, actions speak louder than words. Mamdani knew exactly the message he was sending.

This isn’t just about one meal or one overlooked community. It’s a window into how the radical left in this city operates. Liberals love to accuse others of hatred and exclusion, but time after time, it’s their own globalist favorites who get all the attention and respect—while Christian, Jewish, and especially Italian traditions get pushed aside. Ordinary Americans can see the two-faced hypocrisy a mile away.

The truth is, New York wouldn’t be the city it is today without its Italians, Jews, Christians, and other groups who built its neighborhoods and fought for its values. But Mamdani and his allies seem happy to erase their contributions if it doesn’t fit their woke narrative. It’s anti-American, plain and simple, and it smacks of the same ideology that’s gutting cities from coast to coast.

Why should hardworking immigrant families who love this country be treated like second-class citizens in their own hometown? Liberals like Mamdani might not have the guts to say it outright, but their actions tell us everything we need to know. Mayor Adams and city leaders should be ashamed for letting this kind of open disrespect slide. Maybe the real question for voters is this: If our leaders won’t stand up for our heritage, who will?
