The shocking history of conservative infighting and how division could hand victory to the left again

The conservative movement is standing at a fork in the road. As another crucial election approaches, the stakes have never been higher. But instead of locking arms and fighting for America’s future, far too many on the right seem obsessed with settling old scores, stroking their egos, and blasting fellow Republicans over minor disagreements. Meanwhile, the real opponents—radical leftists hell-bent on dismantling American values—cheer on division from the sidelines. History proves what happens next: division hands victory straight to the progressives, every single time.

Look back at the disasters conservatives brought on themselves. In 1912, Theodore Roosevelt’s pride got in the way, splitting the vote and letting Woodrow Wilson slip into the White House. That opened the door for sweeping changes that still haunt the country today. Fast forward to 1964, when infighting allowed Lyndon Johnson and his activist pals to bulldoze conservative resistance, giving us runaway welfare programs and an out-of-control bureaucracy. It happened again in 1992, when a revolt over purity tests fractured the base, and Bill Clinton grinned as Republicans handed him the keys to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Whenever conservatives let petty rivalries outweigh their priorities, Americans pay the price.

Liberals never make this mistake. Sure, they squabble behind closed doors, but when power is up for grabs, they march in lockstep. They control the media, the schools, and the administrative state. They bury dissent, label anyone who resists as an enemy, and never fear canceling people who step out of line. Meanwhile, conservatives waste precious energy policing each other’s credentials on social media, putting purity above power, and treating allies as enemies. None of this impresses real voters. It only makes conservatives look weak and unfocused. The left wins when the right tears itself apart.

If Republicans care about the future of this country, now is the time to get serious. Leave the pointless online sniping to attention-seekers. End the narcissistic purity contests. The fight is bigger than anyone’s personal ambition—it’s about keeping America free, prosperous, and true to its founding values. Every minute wasted on internal drama is a gift to the progressive machine that wants to lock the right out of power forever. The reality is blunt: there is no America without victory, and there is no victory without unity.

America stands at a crossroads. Will conservatives finally learn from the past and put victory before vanity? Or will the movement hand another win to a leftist elite that despises everything great about this nation? The choice is clear—fight together, or watch everything America stands for slip away, one self-inflicted defeat at a time.
