Liberals Want to Ban Cheap Pizza While Billionaires Make Life Affordable for Everyone

The Left keeps screaming about an “affordability crisis,” but their only answer is more government, more controls, and more bureaucrats telling Americans what they’re allowed to buy and how much they should pay. Democrats have their eyes set on top-down schemes, as if creating another mountain of regulations and “working groups” will magically make groceries, gas, and housing affordable. It’s just another excuse for politicians to grab more power while everyday Americans get buried under red tape.

History already showed us how this politician-run economics works out. Back during World War II, Washington tried to micromanage the cost of everything from shoes to steaks. They set up an army of pencil-pushers to “control” prices, but that just led to hungry families, black markets, and a thriving business in breaking the rules. Americans ignored the bureaucrats and found ways around the system—proving that when government tries to rig the market, the market fights back. In the end, all those price controls just made life harder unless you were willing to bend or break the law.

The dirty truth? When politicians dictate prices, they crush choice and drive people into the shadows. Imagine thousands of government agents marching into every pizza shop to measure crusts and check toppings. That’s the socialist vision. It’s not just absurd, it’s anti-American. Real freedom means letting people decide what they want to buy, at a price they choose to pay. Government price fixing killed competition and forced people into ugly, bland government apartments in the old Soviet Union. Why should Americans take orders from the same “we know best” crowd?

Every time the Left claims they care about “affordability,” what they really want is to dismantle free enterprise. But it’s America’s risk-takers—the billionaires and entrepreneurs—who deliver affordable goods by the truckload. Walmart, the Waltons, the geniuses behind Amazon, Microsoft, McDonald’s: they got rich by giving the masses what they want at prices almost anyone can afford. The so-called “oppressors of the proletariat” built the homes, cars, and grocery empires that made middle-class dreams come true. That’s today’s version of the American Dream, not some vision cooked up by globalist socialists in back-rooms.

Socialists like Bernie Sanders and AOC whine about evil billionaires while blocking job-creating giants like Amazon and Walmart at every turn. They’d rather keep people poor, angry, and dependent on government handouts than watch everyday Americans move up the ladder. It’s not about “helping the struggling family.” It’s about control, resentment, and clinging to a failing ideology that should have died with the Berlin Wall.

If liberals really wanted affordable living, they’d stop sabotaging job creators and let the free market do what government never could: produce better goods, cheaper prices, and real opportunity. But for the Left, punishing success means more than lifting people up. Are Americans ready to let politicians decide who gets pizza tonight—or will they finally trust the folks who know how to deliver?
