The US Navy Turns 251 and Woke Liberals Are Sinking Its Legacy

Two hundred fifty-one years ago, gutsy American patriots made a bold move that would change the world. On October 13, 1775, before we were even an official nation, the Continental Congress launched what would become the United States Navy. These weren’t the polished elites or pampered globalists you see whining on TV today. These were regular folks, risking everything to build America into the freest nation on earth.

Fast forward to now, and liberals seem to have forgotten what real courage looks like. While the Navy stands as a symbol of American power, the left is more interested in diversity quotas and woke ideology than in strength, discipline, or patriotism. They’d rather lecture our sailors on their pronouns than make sure we can actually win wars. It’s no surprise China and other adversaries are laughing at us while globalists in D.C. try to gut our military traditions.

Let’s be honest: the Navy didn’t rise to greatness by bowing down to international bureaucrats or worrying about offending someone’s feelings. It got there through hard work, American values, and a willingness to fight back against tyranny. Every star on that flag, every ship in our fleet, stands for freedom—not political correctness or socialist experiments.

America’s Navy is 251 years old, but the mission hasn’t changed. Defend our country. Protect our way of life. Make sure the land of the free stays free. That’s something the woke crowd just doesn’t get. They want us to apologize for our history, erase our heroes, and kneel at the altar of political nonsense.

But real Americans know better. The Navy was founded by rebels who stood up and said, “Enough!” Maybe it’s time our so-called leaders in Washington remembered that. Are we still the home of the brave, or just another soft, self-loathing society too scared to defend itself?
