California used to promise the American Dream. Now, it only serves up heartburn and bankruptcy. Just look at what happened to a legendary Los Angeles deli: their latest electricity bill was absolutely jaw-dropping. Families are struggling to pay rent, and small businesses—like those that built this country—are getting run out of town, all thanks to the radical “green” policies forced by left-wing politicians.
The so-called leaders in Sacramento brag about “clean energy” and “climate justice,” but ordinary people know what’s really happening. Electric bills are soaring to absurd heights. Liberals pat themselves on the back for solar panels and wind turbines, while ignoring the simple fact that none of these “solutions” are remotely affordable, or even reliable. Instead of letting affordable natural gas or time-tested nuclear compete, bureaucrats pick their green favorites, no matter how much it raises costs for working Americans.
This isn’t just an LA problem, it’s a warning to the nation. When the government chokes out competition, all in the name of fighting Mother Nature, the only winners are globalist energy companies and the eco-elites who fly private while lecturing the rest of us about carbon footprints. Meanwhile, mom-and-pop shops must make a choice: pay the crazy bills or close their doors forever. Where’s the justice in that?
California is supposed to be a land of opportunity, but Democrats keep turning opportunity into desperation. They act shocked when businesses leave the state or shutter altogether. Guess what? No one can afford to keep the lights on, thanks to their reckless war on affordable energy. The “renewables-only” crowd isn’t saving the planet—they’re destroying California’s economy and crushing the American middle class.
Enough is enough. It’s time to let fossil fuels and nuclear power compete on a fair playing field. Real energy independence comes from giving people affordable choices, not bowing to green hysteria. Why should a deli’s light bill cost more than its rent? Maybe the real climate crisis is happening right inside state government, and hardworking Californians are the ones left out in the cold.
