For years now, all we’ve heard about in Christian and conservative circles is this wild obsession with “engaging the culture.” Everyone’s shouting from the rooftops about how we have to watch the latest Hollywood trash, copy bland pop music, or jump on whatever social trend the left is pushing—all just to seem “relevant.” But let’s get real: this whole idea is nothing but a desperate attempt to look cool in a world that hates our values. It’s a fad, plain and simple, and it’s making conservatives look weak.
“Engaging the culture” is just the latest buzzword for surrender. Instead of standing strong and defending what’s right, some folks think we have to bend over backwards to fit into a broken culture. Instead of building our own institutions, they run after whatever’s popular—TikTok dances, Disney “inclusions,” and whatever woke fad Hollywood cranks out next. In the end, they’re not shaping the culture. They’re just following it off a cliff, hand-in-hand with liberals who despise everything good and decent.
The truth is, this isn’t about making a difference. It’s about craving the world’s approval. These “culture-engagers” are desperate not to be called old-fashioned, or—heaven forbid—intolerant. But what does it get us? More compromise, more watered-down values, and a seat at their table—if we behave. While conservatives are busy playing catch-up, the left smirks and moves the goalposts again. They’re experts at rewriting the rules just when you think you’ve caught up.
Let’s not forget the hypocrisy. The same liberals screaming for “inclusion” boot anyone out who dares to question their precious dogmas. They hide behind “tolerance,” but all they really want is blind obedience. Meanwhile, conservatives scrambling to engage the culture end up giving up the very ideas that made America great—faith, family, and freedom. Is it any wonder the country’s falling apart?
Let the left keep their empty trends. True patriots hold the line. The only way to fix this country is to stop chasing culture like starved puppies and start building something real—something that honors God, respects family, and defends freedom. We’re not here to win applause from globalists and Hollywood elites. We’re here to fight for America. So why are we letting the losers set the rules?
