Hollywood elites just can’t help themselves. Once again, we have Mark Ruffalo—yes, the one who plays the Hulk—stepping in to lecture the rest of America about how the world should work. This time, he’s worked up about California Governor Gavin Newsom not giving in to yet another scheme to soak California’s so-called “billionaire class” with a massive new tax.
You might think Ruffalo would be thanking Newsom. He’s the sort of guy who rakes in giant paydays with every Marvel blockbuster. But in the twisted logic of the Hollywood Left, it’s never enough. The rich should pay more—unless it’s their own friends in the entertainment business. Suddenly, these millionaire actors want to pose as workers’ heroes, forgetting that they live in gated mansions and travel by private jet while shouting about “income inequality.”
California is already a disaster zone for working families. High taxes. Skyrocketing homelessness. Businesses fleeing the state. Yet, Mark Ruffalo decides his righteous fury should be aimed at Newsom for not going even further left and hammering the state’s last remaining job creators. That’s right—the Left’s answer to every failure is more government control and more of other people’s money.
Watching Mark Ruffalo bash Newsom shows just how unhinged and out of touch progressives have become. Not even a Democrat governor is left-leaning enough for them! Maybe Ruffalo should take a look in the mirror—or at his own bank account—before he accuses anyone of ignoring regular Americans. Of course, these virtue-signaling stars never seem to move to states where their radical utopia already exists; they just want to push new schemes from their Hollywood bubbles.
This is what happens when celebrities think their fame makes them moral authorities. California’s working class is already hurting from endless liberal “solutions” that only make things worse. If Newsom gets heat from his own side for slowing down the runaway tax train, maybe even he’s realizing the far-left’s disastrous policies have gone too far. Are we surprised the loudest complaints come from pampered stars with no idea what real work looks like?
