The federal government loves to stick its nose where it doesn’t belong, and nowhere has this obsession with control been as destructive as in higher education. For decades, unelected bureaucrats in Washington have been meddling with student loans. They made it worse. They turned a system meant to help students into a bottomless pit of debt and broken promises. Show me where the Constitution says Uncle Sam should be a national bank for college kids—go ahead, I’ll wait.
Now, finally, the Department of Education is talking about spinning off its failed student loan office by 2027. About time! The American people are tired of the constant interference. Washington had one job: protect our rights, not hand out money for useless degrees in gender theory. Instead, what we got is billions wasted and loan balances ballooning like a bad government project. Liberals promised their so-called “investments” in education would help everyone. Instead, they created a giant mess that left students and taxpayers holding the bag.
Let’s face it, when the federal government gets its hands on something, common sense disappears. Student loans shouldn’t be a tool for left-wing social experiments, or a payoff to Big Academia. But that’s exactly what we got. The education swamp is a safe haven for failed professors and globalist ideologues who think the solution to every problem is another government program. The more money Washington hands out, the higher colleges jack up prices—it’s a racket, plain and simple.
For years, conservatives have said enough is enough. Why should taxpayers in flyover country foot the bill for Ivy League elites who wish they could shred the Constitution? The truth is, these federal handouts reward failure and encourage students to chase degrees that have zero value outside a Marxist coffee shop. Real education means earning your keep, not whining for endless bailouts from bureaucrats who’ve never worked an honest day in their lives.
Kicking the student loan office out of Washington is a good start, but it’s not enough. How about we abolish the whole racket and let families decide how to pay for college—without government meddling? Liberals messed this up for decades. Are we really supposed to trust them to clean up their own mess? If the feds can’t handle student loans, why trust them with anything else?
