Washington just added two trillion to the debt and nobody is stopping them

Something is very wrong in Washington. The federal government just blew through another jaw-dropping milestone, closing out fiscal year 2026 with nearly $2 trillion in red ink. That’s right — two trillion dollars wiped out, and for what? No pandemic. No recession. Nothing but reckless, out-of-control spending from the same liberal politicians who always pretend to know best.

Remember, during the covid years, they said massive spending was justified by emergency. That was their excuse for shoveling out trillions, handing out cash like candy, and ballooning the debt. But what’s their excuse now? The economy isn’t in crisis. There is no national emergency, unless you count the disaster happening in our treasury. Democrats have proven again that they don’t know how to stop. This level of deficit used to be unthinkable. Now liberals call it business as usual.

The Left wants Americans to believe endless government growth is normal. They act like printing and spending money is good for the country. But ordinary citizens see the truth: higher prices, weaker savings, and a government that steals from the next generation to feed its own bloated appetite. Bureaucrats and global elites clap from their ivory towers while Main Street feels the pain. Inflation destroys paychecks, but Washington elites couldn’t care less.

Where is the accountability? Where are the so-called “progressives” who brag about compassion, but literally rob our children of a future? Fiscal responsibility used to mean something in this country, but liberals abandoned that idea in exchange for their socialist dreams. They’ll happily bankrupt America if it means scoring a few more votes or appeasing their woke donor base. Meanwhile, border security, national defense, infrastructure — all get shortchanged while politicians keep their gravy train running.

No more excuses. The truth is ugly: Democrats are addicted to spending, and America is paying the price. The fiscal disaster of 2026 is not just a number. It’s proof that liberal leadership is failing, and regular Americans are stuck picking up the tab. When will people wake up and demand honest leaders who actually respect hardworking taxpayers?
